This striking three-panel triptych is one of the most recognizable works from Victoria Montesinos’ “Women in Hats” series, produced during her residency in New York and her collaboration with Circle Fine Art. The piece captures her signature 1980s aesthetic, which blends the romanticism of the Belle Époque with contemporary Art Deco stylings.

The triptych presents three distinct yet harmoniously linked portraits of elegant women. Each panel emphasizes a different color theme: vibrant yellow, deep indigo/blue, and dramatic black with red accents, centered around elaborate, oversized floral hats. Montesinos’ technique in this period involved soft, airbrushed gradients and sharp, clean lines that create an ethereal, high-fashion atmosphere. The background of each panel is intentionally muted to allow the architectural silhouettes of the hats and the delicate facial features of the women to serve as the focal points.
